The outstanding technical and intellectual rigor with which the editor Esther Acosta Testa has undertaken her work with highly complex books and text management, administration, maintenance of collections, and the organization of the editorial process were considered central to that which was given yesterday in the capital’s Dulce Maria Loynaz Cultural Center, National Publishing Award 2011.
Chaired by Silvana Garriga, National Publishing Award 2010, and comprised also of Eduardo Heras León, National Publishing Award 2001, Thelma Hortensia Jimenez, Blanca Rosa Zabala and Daniel Diaz Mantilla, the jury that from among the other 15 proposals selected a majority, they also recognized the outstanding intellectual for her long career in the Cuban publishing system, in which she has served as editor, deputy editor in chief and deputy director of several publishing houses.
With this recognition, conferred since 1998, the Cuban Book Institute rewards the work of distinguished publishers whose talent and professional performance do honor to the Cuban publishing universe.
The award ceremony will take place in the Nicolás Guillén Room located at the Fortaleza de San Carlos de la Cabaña, during the upcoming International Book Fair.
